The Fly Camp
We operate our fly camp between two very different sites on the beautiful eastern section of the lower Zambezi river - Chosen to compliment each other and to give the best locations for all the Lower Zambezi activities. Each camp has with a well stocked bar and seating area under canvas and ensuite bathrooms. The fly camps are light weight and a textbook example of how light luxury in the wilderness can be.

The Chula Island Camp
Chula means frog in Goba - the local language in this area. It is located on the Katengahumba /Discovery Island and is our nearest site to Jeki Airfield. This island is like jurassic park …full of surprises, it is full of hidden lagoons and open dambos. The game is unbelievable and we have seen leopard, lion, hyena , buffalo herds and lots of elephant to mention a few species. There is actually no need to venture further than this island paradise.
The atmosphere on chula is very different to anywhere else , it even looks different with loads of Natal Mahogany trees and sandy beaches…the perfect contrast to Kutali camp.
All Tents used in both Camps have
o Ensuite individual bathrooms - accessible without leaving the tent.
o Bucket shower, flushing toilets and washbasin with a mirror.
Beds
o Single comfortable beds with top quality linen provided.
o These can be joined to form doubles on request.
and these bits and pieces :
o Two bedside tables with solar lamps/reading lights.
o A safe box to put valuables in as required.
o Two comfortable camp chairs.
o Two folding shelf systems for clothes.
Hot hanging bucket showers can be provided on request and the laundry service is complimentary.

Kutali Camp is on Kulefu Island …both mean far away place…Kutali is your classic Winter-thorn forest zambezi valley camp…it is literally in one of the coolest Faidherbia or Winter thorn forests in the lower Zambezi …this gives it a very different atmosphere to Chula . Kulefu Island offers excellent Canoeing and walking possibilities and is just a river crossing away from mainland for our game drives.
