We offer flexible safaris between three fly camps in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park.
Tafara Springs is located in the Rufunsa Valley at the foot of the escarpment. Kutali Island and Chula Island are tucked away on remote Islands in the prime game viewing area near Jeki airfield.
Game drives and fishing are readily available and completely flexible although we concentrate primarily on walking safaris and canoe safaris. The camps are simple with old style luxury camping, under the stars and around the campfire. We recommend a minimum 4-night stay with us. This enables you to get the most out of your experience in the Lower Zambezi. We let the environment and your wishes dictate the pace ……

Below is a an example of a typical 4 day safari with us....
Day 1 Chula Camp
Arrive in the Lower Zambezi National Park at Jeki Airfield. Enjoy a short game drive to our Chula Camp and on arrival you are welcomed with a refreshing drink before being shown to your en-suite tent. Once you have settled in, return to the main area and enjoy sundowners at camp or on boat. Under the stars we serve a delicious evening meal whilst discussing the exciting possibilities for the next couple of days with your guide.
Day 2 Chula Camp
Get up early for a walking safari in the winterthorn forest and return to camp for lunch. After a rest enjoying the views across the river you can Canoe down Discovery channel and boat cruise back to camp.
Day 3 Kutali camp
Get up early for a walking safari along one of the exciting river channels and up onto Jeki plains. Bush Breakfast served up on the plains.
Walk back to base camp, lunch and pack a night bag and jump on a boat cruise. We arrive at sunset to a lovely Fly Camp and a real bush dinner awaiting you.
Day 4 Kutali Camp
Arise early and canoe down river towards base camp- get picked up by our gameviewing vehicle and go on game drive for the rest of the morning! Return for a delicous lunch in camp! In the afternoon you can game drive, boat , fish etc
Day 5 Departure Day
Depending on the time of your departure from Jeki airfiled you can relax in Camp or do an activity before your short transfer to your flight.
